http://www.bikelist.org is evolving into a home for non-commercial
bicycle-related mailing lists and will eventually have indexes to
other cycling mailing lists on the internet. At the moment you can
browse the existing lists and their searchable archives.
Lists:
- Touring
- General discussion on bicycle touring and related topics. This
list was known as touring@cycling.org in the past and has about 500-600
members.
- Framebuilders
- A list for discussion the construction of bicycle frames. A mix of
professional and homebuilders talking about a variety of techniques for
building frames.
- Internet-BOB
- Cycling lore and tradition.
- Rivendell Bicycle Works
- A disucssion group for fans and riders of Rivendell Bicycle Works products.
- 650B Bikes
- Discussions related to bicycles which use 650B wheels and conversions of
bicycles designed for other wheel sizes to 650B.
- Bicycle
Alliance of Washington - The BAW list is a resource for bike
advocates in Washington State. The list focuses on issues of
statewide significance, such as legislative activities in Olympia.
- Washington
Tourists and Eccentrics (aka WET) - This list is for organizing
and announcing periodic Seattle-area rides for members of the touring
and internet-bob mailing lists. Others are invited as well.
- Seattle
International Randonneurs - The Seattle International Randonneurs
(SIR) is a club devoted to unsupported long distance bicycling.
This list allows SIR members to communicate about various rides
and events, swap training tips and talk about various aspects of
randonneuring in the Seattle area.
